Anti-Doping Testing Concluded for World Amateur Team Championships

11/29/05

Far Hills, N.J. USA – In accordance with the International Golf Federation’s 2006 Anti-Doping Policy, testing was conducted during the World Amateur Team Championships in October in Stellenbosch (Cape Town), South Africa.

The IGF selected six players at random to be tested during each of the women’s and men’s competitions (i.e. 12 players were tested in total).

The results have now been received and all samples collected were negative for prohibited substances, based on the World Anti-Doping Association (WADA) prohibited list (http://www.wada-ama.org).

Tests were conducted by the South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (http://www.drugfreesport.org.za).
