RE: 2004 Site Bids Memo, Revised

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please note the following updates in bold below:

Dear Member Organizations,

As you know, request forms for countries wishing to host the 2004 World Amateur Team Championships were solicited last fall. The IGF is pleased to announce that the following countries have submitted bids. They are, in alphabetical order by country:

Buenos Aires, Argentina

La Romana, Dominican Republic (bid withdrawn)

Panama City, Panama (bid withdrawn)

Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico

These sites will be visited later this spring, after which time information on the venues will be compiled and sent to all Member Organizations along with a mail ballot.

The IGF is grateful to these countries for their generous offer to host the 2004 Championships, and thus to further the missions of the Council.

On a separate matter, the IGF is pleased to announce the United Arab Emirates Golf Association and the Turks and Caicos Islands Golf Association as its newest members. (This brings the number of Member Organizations to 91.) The IGF looks forward to welcoming the UAE and TCIGA to the Council and the Championships.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
