Thursday Withdrawal

Neclla Gercek of Turkey withdrew from the second round because of illness. If she is ready to compete, she is able to re-join her team for the third and fourth rounds. Turkey's score will be based on the second-round scores of her teammates --Elcin Ulu and Selin Ozgur.

Keeping Up With the Swedes

G'day from Down Under! It appears that the inspired play of the Swedish team in the first round (10 strokes better than the field) has had an impact. Through six holes on The Grange Golf Club's East Course, Tonje Daffinrud of Norway has started her day with five birdies in her first six holes, including three consecutive to start the day. The 17-year-old is the reigning Norwegian champion. Since Norway was the first three starting times of the day, there might be better scoring in sight!
