Championship Committee Implements 3rd Round Cut

In accordance with Condition 10 of the Championship Conditions, the World Amateur Golf Council Championship Committee has decided to implement a cut following the third round and limit play in the fourth round to the leading 20 teams.

Play is scheduled to start at the first and 10th tees of the Palm Course at 10 a.m. A new draw has been made and will be issued separately.

All teams in positions 21-63 will not play a fourth round and their final positions will be determined by their total scores after 54 holes.

The WACG Championship Committee regret that it is not possible for all teams to complete 72 holes, but this decision was made in view of the weather forecast and the need to concentrate maintenance on one course.

CONDITION 10

Implementing a Cut

If, after the second or third rounds of the Championships, it becomes clear that for some reason it will not be possible for all teams to complete the last round of the Championships (whether that be the 3rd of 4th round), the WAGC Championship Committee may implement a cut. The purpose of such a cut would be to enable the leading teams which have played, or are due to play, their 3rd round on the Bunga Raya Course to complete as many holes as possible. The decision on whether to implement a cut is at the discretion of the WAGC Championship Committee.

For those teams which do not make the cut, placings will be determined on the basis of the rounds completed.
